Meeting Time: TBD

Location: Addison Buld. 4910 W. Addison St.

Our MiSSION

To encourage young adults into serving the community, especially for those who most need it.  Not only will we encourage them to do service, but to strengthen their faith through prayer, and self reflection.  We also hope to become better Catholics and to seek Jesus Christ in Our Lives, and in others. Through hard work and dedication, we look forward to make our parish proud, and summon others into following Jesus’ example. The group leaders will try to incorporate fun into our projects and look forward into maintaining the youth group for the years to come.

Group Description

We are meeting on scheduled Sunday’s to complete various tasks, for about 3 hours depending on the activity/task we wish to accomplish that Sunday. I am open to suggestions, and already have some ideas on how to get started. Determined by the youth leader, we will decide a Sunday with a particular activity/task. For Example:

  • Prayer Day - We all gather At the Beginning of the month to thank and pray for our projects we have accomplished and goals we hope to achieve.

  • Crafts/Fun Days - We create a fun environment for our task and we do crafts, or prepare for upcoming events using artistic skills or a variety of other methods. These days may include preparing flowers for mother’s day, or preparing a bake sale, or simply watch a movie as a group.

  • Work Days - These days are planned prior to the date. We may go to soup kitchens, shelter homes, asylums, or the Salvation Army. This is called a hands-on activity.

  • Neighborhood or Parish workshop - We address personal issues within the group, we help anyone in need. We also discuss new ideas, prepare new events, and help with anything necessary in the church. We may also include competitions with other churches.

Expectations

At every meeting it is important for the youth, and the Core Members to be attentive, focused, and respectful. c. Use positive words and speaking tone when talking to others. d. Treat others like you want to be treated.

  2. Stay On Task
    a. Go where you are asked to go in a timely manner.
    b. Participate fully in all the activities and discussions.
    c. Do not sit by anyone who will distract you during teachings or small groups.

  3. Know Your Boundaries
    a. Respect personal boundaries of others.
    b. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
    c. During small group activities take turns, share, and be courteous to your group members.
